My Goal for Summer Reading

        My goal for summer reading is to finish the multnomah county summer reading program halfway through the summer.

Reading Log

I am reading the book Hatchet because it is my lit circle book.  I have not abandoned it because it is a good book and I have to read it for lit circle.  I have gotten tips on how to survive in the I am reading the book hatchet because it is my lit circle book.  And what I think people get out of reading is a free vacation to wherever the book takes place.

Reading Log

       In the book Hatchet, Brian begins to put the pieces of the puzzle together and is starting to get everything that he needs to survive.  I was looking through the eyes of Brian and he seems to be getting more comfortable around camp.  He is beginning to think that he will be staying at the lake for a long time.

    Food, water, shelter, fire; I need

    I have been reading the book Hatchet lately and in the book Brian's plane crashed in the middle of the Canadian woods. He crashed in a lake and now he has to survive in the woods. Since he crashed in a lake he has water, but he needs find food and make shelter and fire. Will he survive?

Hachet connections

        My first connection is connected to the part when Brian had to make a shelter.  My grandparents are on a search & rescue team and they tought me how to make a shelter that would protect me from wind & rain.
        My second connection is connected to the part when Brian had to look for food.  In the Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen had to look for food & water to survive.
        My third & final connection is connected to when the fish were jumping in & out of the water.  Once I was fishing in central Oregon and the same thing happened.
